Fisherman Missing After Falling Into Sea Off Tharuvaikulam
A man named Muthukumar went fishing in the big sea with five of his friends.
He is 45 years old and comes from Indira Nagar in Thanjavur.
One Saturday night, he fell off the boat into the water.
His friends tried to find him right away.
But the wind and the water were very strong, so it was hard to search.
The police, called the Coastal Security Group, also came to help look for him.
They sent three boats out onto the sea.
The search is still going on.
Muthukumar's family is waiting and hoping he comes home safely.
Muthukumar, a 45-year-old fisherman from Indira Nagar, Thanjavur, went missing after falling into the sea while fishing.
The incident occurred on Saturday night about 25 nautical miles off Tharuvaikulam in Thoothukudi district.
His five fellow fishermen on the mechanised boat launched an immediate search, hampered by strong wind and water current.
The Coastal Security Group police later joined the search operation, which is still underway.
Three mechanised boats have been deployed to trace Muthukumar, and his family awaits his safe return.
