Doctors diagnosed her with drug-induced mania with psychosis.

This means she became disconnected from reality and did not understand her actions at the time.

She said stress, past trauma, hormonal changes, hallucinogens, and prescribed medicines may have contributed.

She described believing unusual things, including that she worked for the CIA and was running for president.

Kelley apologised to her former husband Scott, their children, friends, family, and neighbors.

Scott showed support by commenting five heart emojis on her Instagram post.

Kelley said she wants to rebuild trust and use her experience to help others.
