Court Gives CBI Seven Days for NEET-UG 2026 Chargesheet
A court in New Delhi gave the CBI one more week to submit an additional report about an alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
The CBI is investigating how exam questions may have been taken and shared before the test.
The agency has already charged 13 people in the case.
It says the questions were passed through several people and shared in different forms.
The CBI has also arrested Sheshrav Bajrang Suryavanshi, who it says helped arrange the questions for candidates.
The agency alleges that candidates were taken to a house in Nanded and that their documents were held as security for payment.
The court is deciding whether formal charges should be framed against the accused.
The original exam was cancelled after the leak allegations and was conducted again later.
The next court hearing is on October 7.
The Rouse Avenue Court gave the CBI seven days to file a supplementary chargesheet in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case.
The court scheduled the next hearing for October 7 while considering charges against 13 already-chargesheeted accused.
The CBI’s July chargesheet runs about 20,000 pages and lists approximately 360 witnesses.
The agency alleges leaked questions were circulated before the May 3 examination through intermediaries, handwritten notes, photographs and messaging platforms.
The examination was cancelled on May 12 and held again on June 21 after more than 22.7 lakh candidates appeared initially.
