Three banks are changing some of their fees in August 2026.

Kotak Mahindra Bank will charge more when debit-card users choose to pay in their home currency during some international transactions.

Axis Bank will also raise this type of fee for credit-card users.

Axis will charge Rs 1,300 when a credit-card balance above Rs 50,000 is paid late.

IndusInd Bank is changing several savings-account and debit-card charges.

These include fees for IMPS transfers, cash transactions, minimum-balance shortfalls and debit-card use.

Some IndusInd customers will also pay more for foreign-currency transactions.

The exact cost depends on the customer’s account or card and the transaction.

Customers should check their bank’s latest fee schedule before making payments.

Kotak DCC fee
Debit-card DCC markup will rise from 1% plus GST to 3.5% plus GST from August 1, 2026.
Axis DCC fee
Credit-card DCC markup will rise from 1.5% to 3.5% from August 28, 2026.
Axis late-payment fee
The fee for outstanding balances above Rs 50,000 will be Rs 1,300; fees for lower slabs remain as listed by the bank.
IndusInd IMPS fees
For specified savings and non-resident variants, charges will be Rs 2.50 for transfers up to Rs 10,000, Rs 5 up to Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 10 above Rs 1,00,000.
IndusInd cash charges
For applicable account variants, transactions beyond the free limit will cost Rs 5 per Rs 1,000, subject to a minimum charge of Rs 150.
IndusInd debit-card fee
Issuance, annual and renewal charges for listed Visa Gold, Mastercard Titanium and RuPay debit cards will be Rs 299.
IndusInd forex markup
Revised forex markups range from 2.5% to 3.5% for the listed RuPay, Visa Platinum, premium, Select and Exclusive debit-card segments.
