Indian banks' INR to USD forex rates for August 2026
Sometimes people in India need US dollars.
They might be sending money abroad or getting cash for a trip to another country.
They use Indian rupees, called INR, to buy dollars.
Banks do not all charge the same price for dollars.
The price can also change depending on how you get the money, such as a wire transfer, a travel card, or cash.
A newspaper called Mint Money compared the prices at nine big Indian banks.
It found HDFC Bank had the cheapest rate for money coming in, at ₹93.47 per dollar.
Union Bank's rate for money coming in was the highest on the list.
For cash, Kotak Bank's price was the most expensive.
