Extreme Rainfall Alert for Chhattisgarh; Mumbai, Delhi Brace for Showers

On Friday, August 14, the weather experts at the India Meteorological Department say it will rain a lot in many parts of India.

Chhattisgarh is in the biggest danger, where some places could get more than 20 centimeters of rain, which is enough to cause flooding.

A big rain storm called a depression is moving from the sea near West Bengal toward land.

Because of it, Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal could also get very heavy rain.

Mumbai and the Konkan-Goa area along the coast will see lots of rain too.

Delhi will mostly be cloudy, with light rain in the morning that spreads in the afternoon, and temperatures between 26 and 35 degrees.

In the mountains like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the rain will be very heavy, and strong winds up to 60 kilometers per hour could blow in West Bengal.

Rain is also coming to the northeast states, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and other southern areas, so people should be careful.
