Heavy rain forecast for Mumbai, Rajasthan, Odisha and Maharashtra
Mumbai to brace heavy rain; very heavy showers likely in Rajasthan, Odisha and Maharashtra · CNBC TV 18

The weather office in India, called the India Meteorological Department, says it is going to rain a lot in many places.

On Wednesday, August 12, Mumbai might get scattered heavy rain.

Some parts of Rajasthan, Odisha, West Bengal and Maharashtra may get even heavier showers.

The heavy rain in Rajasthan is caused by a big area of low pressure near Madhya Pradesh.

One town in Rajasthan called Sunel got 30 centimeters of rain in one day, which is a lot.

Another area of low pressure is forming over the Bay of Bengal, which will bring more heavy rain to Odisha.

People in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are told to watch out for flash floods and landslides because the ground is already wet.

Delhi will mostly have clouds and only a little bit of light rain.

In the northeast, states like Assam and Meghalaya will also get heavy rain.

Many people are being told to stay safe and be careful near rivers and hills.
