Centum Electronics to invest Rs 500 crore, create 1,500 Karnataka jobs
A company called Centum Electronics makes special equipment for defence and space.
It has decided to spend 500 crore rupees in a place in India called Karnataka.
The company will spend the money over the next four years.
This will create about 1,500 new jobs for people.
Karnataka's Industries Minister, Mr. M.B. Patil, shared this news on Friday.
The company has already bought land near a town called Devanahalli.
It will start building its new factory there next month.
The factory will make electronics used in defence, radar systems and electronic warfare.
Centum also works with big organisations like ISRO, which sends rockets into space, and DRDO, which helps build defence technology.
The state government wants Karnataka to be the best place in India for aerospace and defence industries.

Centum Electronics partners with DRDO, defence public sector enterprises and ISRO and has worked on strategic missile and satellite programmes.
