Oriental Insurance owns a small part of the National Stock Exchange.

It plans to sell some of those shares when NSE holds its IPO.

The sale could bring the insurer between about ₹843 crore and ₹885 crore.

The company’s chairman says this money will be recorded as profit and provide more cash.

He expects the proceeds to help Oriental Insurance become profitable in 2026-27.

The remaining NSE shares may also strengthen the company’s solvency after NSE is listed.

NSE’s IPO will open for investors on September 17 and close on September 21.

NSE is expected to begin trading on September 24.

Oriental Insurance also said its premiums exceeded ₹20,000 crore in the financial year ending March 2026.
