GATE 2027 Registration Opens With New City Selection Rules
IIT Madras is organizing the GATE 2027 exam.
Students can apply online through the official GATE website.
Registration opened on August 27, 2026, later than the original August 14 date.
The regular application deadline is September 27.
Students who miss that deadline can apply until October 5 through an extended window.
They must use a verified DigiLocker account to register.
DigiLocker will automatically provide details such as their name, birthday, contact information, photograph, address, and verified identification number.
Students can now choose up to six exam cities in one GATE zone instead of three.
The exams will take place on six dates in February 2027, and results are expected on March 19.
