Police in Mizoram carried out several checks and found illegal drugs and other goods.

They said the total value was about Rs 14.77 crore.

Six people were arrested, including five people from Myanmar.

Most of the seized drugs were methamphetamine tablets.

Police also found heroin and a large quantity of dry areca nuts.

The areca nuts did not have the required trade or transport documents.

Officials believe the drugs came from Myanmar.

Mizoram shares a long border with Myanmar, and some parts of the border are not fenced.

This makes it easier for illegal goods to be moved across the border.
