TVK government completes 100 days with welfare push, investment gains
In Tamil Nadu, a big state in India, people vote for a new government every few years.
This time, a new group called TVK won the election in April.
TVK is led by C. Joseph Vijay, a famous movie star.
He became the leader, called the Chief Minister, on May 10.
In its first 100 days, the government gave free electricity to homes that use less power.
It also closed many liquor shops near schools and temples.
The government signed deals with companies to bring lots of money and jobs to the state.
It also gave gifts like gold coins to brides and laptops to college students.
Some people in other political groups say the government still needs to fix safety problems, electricity cuts, and garbage in the streets.
It is the first time in more than 50 years that neither of the two big old parties, DMK and AIADMK, is in charge.

Budget welfare measures include 200 free electricity units, crop loan waivers up to Rs 50,000, a dearness allowance hike, gold coins for brides, 70,000 concrete houses, bicycles and laptops for students.
The state closed 717 TASMAC liquor outlets near educational institutions and places of worship and launched the Singappen Special Task Force for women's safety.
Opposition parties criticise the government over law and order, sexual offences, power disruptions and poor waste management.
