Tamil Nadu is a state in the southern part of India.

A new leader named Chief Minister Vijay, who is also a famous movie star, has been leading the state for about 96 days.

His government wants to bring new companies, money, and jobs to Tamil Nadu.

So they held a big meeting in Chennai called the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave.

At the meeting, the government signed special promises called MoUs with 97 companies.

Those companies promised to spend more than Rs 67,000 crore building factories and businesses in the state.

That money could create more than one lakh new jobs for people.

The government wants to collect more than Rs 1 lakh crore of investments in its first 100 days in office.

Counting earlier agreements, it has signed 104 MoUs worth about Rs 1,02,514 crore, which could create more than 1.2 lakh jobs.

Big companies like JK Tyres, Daimler, YKK, and Ultraviolette are among those investing in Tamil Nadu.
