Karimnagar Corporation Announces Free Power for Ganesh Pandals
Ganesh pandals are temporary places where people celebrate the Ganesh festival.
In Karimnagar, the municipal corporation says it will pay their electricity bills this year.
Around 2,000 pandals may be set up within the city corporation area.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar announced the plan and said he had paid these bills himself during the past three years.
He asked young people to join the celebrations.
He also told organisers not to block roads or trouble other people.
Electricity wires and temporary connections must be installed safely and officially.
The corporation is also preparing roads and other facilities for the festival.
