Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the state government wants to help farmers.

He spoke at a ceremony for a local farmers’ cooperative society in Kamareddy.

The society helps farmers obtain loans, seeds, fertilisers and other services.

Shabbir said it should do more than only provide loans.

He asked its leaders to treat all farmers equally.

He also mentioned government programmes such as Rythu Bharosa and crop-loan waivers.

The government is also working on power, irrigation, markets and rural infrastructure.

Chittedi Sudhakar Reddy became the society’s new chairman.

Later, eligible people received Smart Ration Cards.
