Harish Rao Challenges Revanth Reddy to Debate, Warns of Defamation

Two big political groups are arguing in a place called Telangana.

One group is called the BRS, and a leader named Mr. T. Harish Rao is very upset.

He says the leader of the other group, Chief Minister Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, told lies during his Independence Day speech.

Mr. Harish Rao has asked Mr. Revanth Reddy to have a big public debate about helping farmers and giving jobs.

They disagree about how many new ration cards were handed out when the BRS was in charge.

Mr. Harish Rao says the government's own records show thousands of cards were given, not zero as the Chief Minister said.

He also says money promised to farmers and women has not all been given yet.

He warned that the Chief Minister could be taken to court for hurting his reputation.

Mr. Harish Rao even said he would quit his job if the Chief Minister is proved right in his own village.

Now everyone is waiting to hear what the Chief Minister will say back.
