UP Court Accepts Closure Report on Nikhil Nanda Case
A court in Uttar Pradesh, India, has accepted a police report that says some company leaders, including Nikhil Nanda, are not responsible for the death of a man who owned a tractor business.
The man's brother had said the company leaders made his brother very upset, leading to his death.
But the police said there was no proof of this, and the court agreed with the police.
This happened almost a year after the brother made his complaint.
UP court accepted the police's closure report, dismissing allegations against Nikhil Nanda and other Escorts Kubota officials.
The police report claimed the allegations of abetment to suicide and fraud were false.
Gyanendra, the complainant, had alleged that his brother Jitendra died by suicide due to harassment by Escorts officials over low sales figures.
The closure report was filed in June 2025, almost a year after the complaint was made in January 2024.
Jitendra co-owned a tractor agency named Jai Kisan Traders Farmtrac Tractor.
