Many farmers use a big water canal called the Mid Manair Left Canal to water their fields.

Work on the canal stopped about four and a half years ago.

The irrigation minister, Uttam Kumar Reddy, told government officials on Saturday to start the work again.

He said land problems should be fixed quickly so the work does not stop.

Ministers and officials from a few nearby districts met in Hyderabad to talk about it.

They also discussed other water projects, like the Pathipaka reservoir.

This reservoir can help give water to 10,000 acres of new farmland.

It can also help keep water flowing to crops on 2.40 lakh acres of land.

The officials said they will finish the project report by the end of August.

When these projects are ready, more crops can grow and farmers will have more water.
