Eastern Railway Announces Sealdah and Andal-Durgapur Train Changes
Eastern Railway has announced changes to some trains in West Bengal.
On the night of October 3–4, workers will maintain railway equipment between Sonarpur and Ballygunge.
This work may delay trains, and two Sealdah–Sonarpur services will not run on October 4.
Four other local train pairs will start or end at Baruipur instead of following their usual routes.
A separate change at Andal will continue until December 31.
Because of it, the Malda Town–Surat and Surat–Malda Town Express trains will be cancelled on some dates and take different routes on others.
Passengers should check their train number and travel date before setting out.
A five-hour traffic and power block is planned on the Sealdah Division from 12:25 a.m. to 5:25 a.m. during the night of October 3–4, 2026.
The block will cancel Sealdah–Sonarpur services 34411 and 34412 on October 4, with possible delays to other trains.
Four Diamond Harbour and Lakshmikantapur service pairs will be short-terminated at or short-originated from Baruipur on October 4.
The engine-reversal arrangement at Andal instead of Durgapur will continue from October 1 through December 31, 2026.
Malda Town–Surat and Surat–Malda Town Express trains have specified cancellations and diversions between October and December 2026.
