Pune Man Dies By Suicide After Gold Earring Theft Accusation
In a place called Bhosari, a 26-year-old man named Vinod was blamed for taking a gold earring that did not belong to him.
A woman said Vinod had the earring and told him to give her Rs 85,000.
She warned that she would go to the police if he did not pay.
Vinod gave her Rs 1 lakh, which is a very large amount of money.
But the woman came back with another person and asked him for Rs 55,000 more.
Vinod felt very upset and scared by the blame, the money demands, and the threats.
He went up to the roof of his tall building and jumped, and sadly he died.
His father went to the police and told them everything that had happened.
The police have registered a case against the woman and are still investigating.
Vinod Pemaram Choudhary, 26, died after jumping from the terrace of a 12th-floor building in Bhosari on 27 July.
A woman, Saroj Nagnath Mane, had accused him of stealing a gold earring at his family's shop.
Mane allegedly demanded Rs 85,000 and threatened to approach police if he did not pay.
According to the complaint, Choudhary paid Rs 1 lakh, after which Mane allegedly returned with another person demanding Rs 55,000 more.
Bhosari police registered a case against Mane; PSI Sunil Daund is conducting the investigation.
