The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority’s (Rera) Real Estate Appellate Tribunal made two important decisions.

In the first case, a homebuyer named Vijayendra Kumar Gade had booked a flat but found that construction had not started.

The developer agreed to refund his money but did not follow the refund schedule.

The tribunal ruled that Gade could still be considered an allottee and was entitled to a refund with interest.

In the second case, Bakki Sneha also booked a flat but later decided to cancel.

The developer agreed to refund her money but only paid part of it.

The tribunal ruled that she was entitled to the remaining refund but not interest because she did not provide a reason for canceling.

Both decisions reinforce that homebuyers keep their rights until the full refund is completed.
