IMD Forecasts Wet Spell in Odisha Amid Ongoing Floods

The weather office in India said more rain is coming to a state called Odisha.

This rain will start on August 5 and last until August 10.

Many villages in this state are already covered with floodwater.

People from those villages are staying in safe camps because the water has not gone away yet.

The roads near their homes are still underwater, so they cannot go back.

The weather office gave a special warning called an orange warning for some areas.

This warning tells people to get ready for very heavy rain.

The state government is working to fix broken river banks and send food and other supplies to people.

They are also sending food for cows and other animals.

A big dam called Hirakud is letting out some water slowly and carefully so it does not make the floods worse.
