Uttar Pradesh Launches VVM 2026-27 Drive Promoting Scientific Thinking
The government of a big state in India called Uttar Pradesh wants more kids to love science.
So it is asking schools to join a big science competition called Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan.
The competition is for students in classes 6 to 11.
It is one of the largest science talent searches in the country.
Students can sign up online until September 30, 2026.
It costs 200 rupees to join, which is a small fee.
The competition happens in three rounds: school, state, and national.
Kids who do well move on to the next round.

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, launched a drive to ensure maximum participation in the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2026-27 competition.
VVM is organized by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) and is described as one of the country's largest digital science talent search competitions.
Students of Classes 6 to 11 can register online on the VVM Portal until September 30, 2026, for a registration fee of ₹200 per student.
The competition will be conducted in a phased manner at the school, state, and national levels, and is also held in six Middle Eastern countries besides India.
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya stipends and secondary school scholarships may be used to pay registration fees so no student is deprived due to financial constraints.
Additional Chief Secretary Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma has directed district officials and school principals to conduct awareness campaigns to maximize registrations.
