India Faces Massive Electric Vehicle Charging Build-Out by 2030
India is adding more places where electric vehicles can recharge.
A report says the country could need 1.32 million charging points by 2030.

However, many chargers are used only a small amount of the time.
Most chargers are slow or lower-powered, while very fast chargers are rare.
This could change as more passenger cars become electric.

About 73% of chargers are below 30 kW, while only nine are rated above 240 kW.
