Google Confirms Fitbit Air Launch in India This October
Google is making a special fitness tracker called the Fitbit Air.
It is a tiny band you wear on your wrist, and it has no screen.
It is very light, about 12 grams with the strap on.
The tracker watches your heart and checks how well you sleep.
It can tell when you are walking, running, riding a bike, or doing other activities.
In fact, it knows more than 140 different activities.
The Fitbit app will soon become the Google Health app.
You do not need a subscription to see your health information.
Google says the Fitbit Air will go on sale in India in October.
We do not know the India price yet, but in the United States it costs about 99 dollars.
Google confirmed the Fitbit Air, its first screenless fitness tracker, will launch in India in October 2026.
The band weighs 12 grams with the strap (about 5.2 grams without) and tracks heart rate, sleep, SpO2, HRV, and over 140 activities.
It includes Smart Wake, readiness scores, weekly cardio load, silent vibration alarms, A-fib monitoring, and a seven-day battery.
The Fitbit app will automatically update to Google Health starting May 19; health metrics require no subscription, with a 3-month Google Health Premium trial included.
India pricing is not yet announced; the device costs $99.99 in the US, while competitor Whoop 5 starts at ₹21,990.
