Visakhapatnam Port Authority Marks Clean Air Day With Plantation
The Visakhapatnam Port Authority held an event for Clean Air Day.
The event took place on Monday.
People joined an awareness rally on Beach Road.
The rally was part of the Swachh Vayu Diwas programme.
Several government and port officials attended.
The port planted 3,000 young trees.
It also opened three stations to check air quality.
These activities were meant to support cleaner air and the environment.
The Visakhapatnam Port Authority observed the 2026 International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on Monday.
An awareness rally was held on Beach Road under the Swachh Vayu Diwas programme.
Officials from the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board, GVMC and VPA participated in the rally.
The VPA planted 3,000 saplings within the port premises.
Three Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations were inaugurated at Malkapuram, Akkayyapalem and Pandurangapuram.
