Sourav Ganguly breaks silence on death threats; number from Kolkata

Sourav Ganguly is a very famous cricket player from India.

He used to be the captain of the Indian cricket team and is now the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal.

Someone sent him scary letters that threatened to hurt him and his wife.

The letters have been arriving for about six months, but at first no one thought they were serious.

This week, two more letters arrived that used very scary words like 'eliminate' and 'finish'.

Ganguly told the police about the threats.

He says the phone number connected to the threats is from Kolkata.

Police are now tracking that phone number and checking the courier service that may have been used to send the letters.

They think the letters may have come from a place called Belgharia.

Ganguly says he has security and is sure the police will sort it out.
