Sourav Ganguly, wife Dona receive death threats; police probe launched

Sourav Ganguly is a famous Indian cricketer who used to captain the Indian team.

He and his wife, Dona Ganguly, started receiving scary letters.

At first, the letters said unkind things about Ganguly.

Then the letters became worse and threatened to hurt or kill him, his wife, and his staff.

On Monday, two more letters arrived at Ganguly's office, so the family asked the police for help.

A complaint was filed at Thakurpukur Police Station in Kolkata.

Police are now investigating who sent the letters.

They are checking a courier service and a phone number that might be linked to the sender.

A man named Arun Kumar from Belgharia is being looked into, but police are not sure if it is really him.

Ganguly already has round-the-clock police security and the state government has been alerted.

No arrest has been made yet.
