Weather officials expect heavy rain in parts of eastern and northeastern India on Friday.

Sikkim, Bihar and Odisha are among the places that could receive heavy rain.

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may also get thunderstorms and lightning.

Sikkim has already had very heavy rain, including 22 centimetres at Mangan.

Delhi is expected to stay warm with partly cloudy skies.

Mumbai and Bengaluru could receive some rain as well.

A weather system over the Andaman Sea may develop into a low-pressure area.

It could then move toward the coasts of Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh over the next few days.
