MCC Revamps NEET UG 2026 Counselling with Online Tools
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is changing how students get into medical schools in India.
Students who get a seat can now give it up online instead of going to the college.
If they want a better seat later, they don’t have to visit the college again until the third round.
People who are NRI can upload their papers online.
The system will check documents on the computer, so it’s faster.
They also added more places to check disabilities and set up a 24‑hour phone line for help.
All of this is to make the process easier and quicker for students.
MCC introduces online seat resignation, letting candidates surrender seats via the portal.
Candidates who opt for seat upgrade can skip physical reporting until the third round, cutting travel.
NRI quota applicants can upload required documents online, streamlining verification.
Digital verification of documents and pre‑populated data from NTA will be used; PwBD assessment centers expanded to 61.
MCC has set up a 24/7 toll‑free support line and training for state authorities to ensure smooth implementation.
