Lotte Choco Pie Batch Declared Unsafe in Chhattisgarh, Recall Begins
Some people in a place called Durg, in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, found out that a sweet snack called Choco Pie had too many chemicals that help keep food fresh.
Scientists tested it in a laboratory and said the chemicals were more than the allowed amount.
Because of that, the snack was called unsafe to eat.
The government said shops cannot sell this special batch of Choco Pie anymore.
Stores have to take it off the shelves and keep it away from customers.
The people in charge asked the company that makes Choco Pie to take the snack back from shops everywhere.

Having too many of these chemicals can be bad for kids, so officials want to be very careful.

A batch of Lotte Choco Pie was declared 'unsafe' in Chhattisgarh's Durg district after lab tests found preservatives above the prescribed limit.
The affected batch (672 gm, batch number NM10DC2) was manufactured on April 10, 2026, with an expiry date of April 9, 2027.
The district administration banned the sale, storage and distribution of the batch and directed retailers, wholesalers and distributors to isolate any stock.
The Food and Drug Administration, Durg escalated the matter to the state level and contacted the manufacturer in Chennai to facilitate a nationwide recall.
Officials said the excess preservative level is harmful to children and warned that legal action may be taken against anyone selling or distributing the prohibited batch.
