Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Raises Medical Intern Stipend to ₹25,000
The Uttar Pradesh government will give medical interns more money each month.
Their stipend will rise from Rs 12,000 to Rs 25,000.

Around 3,928 medical and dental interns across the state are expected to benefit from the decision.
The Cabinet decision followed an August 22 protest by interns from several government medical institutions at King George’s Medical University.
The Cabinet also approved 25 lakh free tablets for eligible students under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme.
