MSCI is a company that makes lists, called indices, of big companies that investors watch.

The MSCI India Index is one such list of important companies in India.

Every so often, MSCI updates its lists through a process called rebalancing.

Recently, MSCI decided to add four new companies to its India list.

Those companies are Lenskart Solutions, Adani Energy Solutions, Billionbrains Garage Ventures, and Laurus Labs.

Billionbrains is the parent company of Groww, an app for buying and selling stocks.

MSCI also removed three companies from the list: Astral, Balkrishna Industries, and SBI Cards.

Astral and Balkrishna Industries will go onto a different list called the MSCI India Smallcap Index.

All these changes will happen on Monday, August 31.

This helps investors see which companies are included in the important lists.
