MSCI August 2026 Rejig Adds Four Indian Stocks to Index
An organization called MSCI decides which stocks are included in an important list that many big investment funds watch.
This list is called the MSCI Global Standard Index.
In August 2026, MSCI will update this list.
Four Indian companies — Laurus Labs, Lenskart, Adani Energy Solutions and Groww — are being added to the list.
This is good news for them because big funds that automatically copy the list will want to buy their shares.
Three other companies — Balkrishna Industries, SBI Cards and Astral — are being removed from the list.
Funds that copy the list may sell shares of those companies.
Some companies already on the list, like Eternal, Adani Enterprises and Reliance Industries, might see changes in how much investors buy or sell their shares.
The whole change could bring fresh buying from passive funds and exchange-traded funds, also called ETFs.
MSCI's August 2026 review adds four Indian stocks to the MSCI Global Standard Index.
Laurus Labs, Lenskart, Adani Energy Solutions and Groww are the new additions.
Balkrishna Industries, SBI Cards and Astral will be removed from the index.
The reshuffle may trigger fresh buying from passive funds and ETFs.
Eternal, Adani Enterprises and Reliance Industries will see changes in stock flows.
