Kangana Ranaut Flaunts Her First Handcrafted Meghalayan Ahimsa Silk Saree · NDTV

Kangana Ranaut showed people a special saree she wore for an interview.

It was her first saree made with Meghalayan Eri silk.

The saree is purple and was colored using iron dust and pomegranate.

It took about two and a half months to weave.

Eri silk is also called Ahimsa silk because the cocoons are collected after the moths leave them.

This means the silk-making process does not harm the moths.

The saree was made by Taara Vedaa.

Kangana shared the saree after discussing a different advertisement that some people criticized for its clothing choices.
