25,000 Cabs Boycott RGIA Over App-Based Driver Fares

Many airport cab drivers in Hyderabad have stopped working as part of a boycott.

They say the fares they receive are too low.

A government order says they should receive Rs.21 for each kilometre.

Drivers say they currently receive only Rs.12 to Rs.15.

They want Uber, Ola and Rapido to follow the government’s fare rule.

They are also concerned about a Rs.500 penalty for staying too long in the airport drop-off area.

The boycott affected many cabs operating from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
