Apollo Jubilee Hills introduces scarless robotic gynaecological surgery

Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills is offering a new way to perform some gynaecological operations.

The procedure is called robot-assisted vNOTES.

Instead of making cuts on the outside of the belly, surgeons use the natural vaginal passage to reach the pelvis.

The robot gives surgeons a three-dimensional view and flexible instruments.

It may be used for problems such as fibroids, large uteri, ovarian cysts and adenomyosis.

Carefully selected patients may have less pain and recover more quickly.

Some patients may go home within one or two days.

Doctors say the right procedure must be chosen for each patient’s safety.
