The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation changed the planned uses of 17 pieces of land in Mumbai over four years.

These planned uses are called reservations.

Eight plots had originally been kept for gardens, recreation or natural open spaces.

Other plots were meant for schools, hospitals, offices, transport depots or asphalt plants.

Fourteen of the changes happened from 2023 to 2025.

During that period, Mumbai did not have an elected municipal general body.

Appointed officials were running the civic administration because municipal elections were deferred in 2022.

The information was given to Ashraf Azmi after he asked for it.
