Banaras Textiles Take Center Stage in Matières Fécales SS27
Tilfi Banaras makes special textiles using traditional techniques from Banaras.
These textiles were shown in Paris as part of Matières Fécales’ Spring/Summer 2027 presentation.
The presentation was called The 99 Percent.
It took place at Place de la République.
One featured textile was made from handwoven Katan silk.
It used a detailed style called Kadhua Booti Meenakari.
Tilfi also made two other hand-embroidered textiles for the collection.
Matières Fécales turned the textiles into modern clothing, combining old craft traditions with experimental fashion.
