Matières Fécales Debuts Paris Collection Challenging Wealth and Social Exclusion

Matières Fécales is a fashion label created by Steven Raj Bhaskaran and Hannah Rose Dalton.

The designers are based in Montreal.

They recently showed their work at Paris Fashion Week for the first time.

Their new collection was called “The Ninety Nine Percent.”

It was shown at the Place de la République in Paris.

The location was presented as a place of protest and resistance.

The clothes told stories about immigrants, marginalized communities and outsiders.

The collection followed an earlier project called “The One Percent,” which criticized extreme wealth and greed.
