Hyderabad Collector Explains TDR Options to SH-1 Landowners
Some landowners are affected by a highway project in Hyderabad.
The district collector explained a scheme called Transferable Development Rights, or TDR.
TDR may give eligible landowners benefits under government rules.
People can apply for it online through the BuildNow portal.
Its value depends on property rates set by the local sub-registrar office.
If those rates rise, the TDR value may also rise under the rules.
Landowners can use or transfer TDR in permitted situations.
The collector said choosing TDR is optional, so landowners can make their own decision.
Hyderabad district collector Dr Priyanka Ala briefed landowners affected by the Rajiv Highway Elevated Corridor.
The project covers State Highway-1 from Paradise Junction to Shamirpet.
Officials explained TDR eligibility, rules, benefits and online applications through the BuildNow portal.
TDR value is linked to rates fixed by the concerned sub-registrar office and may rise if those rates increase.
The collector said TDR is optional, and landowners received clarification on valuation, use and transfer procedures.
