Manipal Hospital Launches Integrated 360-Degree Gut Care Department
Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru has started a new department for stomach and digestive-system problems.
It is called 360° Gut Care.
The department brings several kinds of doctors and treatments together in one place.
These include doctors for digestion, surgery, cancer care and robotic operations.
The hospital said it will help patients with problems such as fatty liver disease, bowel illnesses and gastrointestinal cancers.
Patients can receive screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care through the program.
Dr. Rajani M praised the initiative and discussed the importance of food habits and gut health.
The hospital also said liver transplantation is part of the program after receiving government approval.
Manipal Hospital Kanakapura Road launched its Comprehensive Gastrosciences Department, called 360° Gut Care, in Bengaluru.
The program combines medical and surgical gastroenterology, GI oncology, robotic surgery, screening, diagnosis, treatment and long-term management.
Hospital specialists highlighted rising concerns including fatty liver disease, inflammatory bowel conditions and gastrointestinal cancers.
The launch was attended by Dr. Rajani M of Karnataka’s Health and Family Welfare Services and actor-choreographer Sridhar.
The hospital said it had received government approval for liver transplantation the day before the launch.
