Airtel widens value lead over Jio with premiumisation push

Two big phone companies in India are Airtel and Jio.

They compete to win customers and make money.

Recently, we learned how they did over the last three months.

Airtel earns more money from each customer than Jio does.

Airtel earns about 264 rupees per customer each month, while Jio earns about 215 rupees.

Airtel's earnings per customer grew faster than Jio's.

However, Jio still added more new customers than Airtel.

Jio also has more total customers overall.

Airtel has a special offer called Fastlane that helps people switch to better plans.

Because of this, Airtel's profit went up, while Jio's profit went down a little.

Both companies are working hard to keep their customers happy.
