Hyderabad Court Sentences Cotton Official, Wife in Disproportionate Assets Case
A court in Hyderabad found a former cotton official and his wife guilty in an assets case.
The case involved money and property that officials said were much greater than the official’s known income.
The official was named Majeti Venkata Bhavani Prasad.
His wife was named Majeti Priyanka.
Prasad received five years in prison and a fine of Rs.1 lakh.
