Floodwaters have affected more than 50 villages in Chitrakoot, Satna district, since August 29.
The National Disaster Response Force evacuated 1,438 people, while the State Disaster Response Force rescued about 100.
Around 650 houses have been damaged, including 70 that completely collapsed, according to the district magistrate.
