Collector Orders HNSS Water Measures for Madanapalle Drinking Needs
Annamayya Collector Nishanth Kumar held a meeting about bringing HNSS water to the Madanapalle region.
The water may arrive between September 12 and 15.
Officials must prepare tanks before the water reaches the district.
Special teams will watch the water flow during the day and night.
They will try to prevent water from being wasted.
Officials were told to fill at least half of Velugallu reservoir.
The municipality will also move canal water into Amma Cheruvu.
These steps are meant to help prevent drinking-water shortages, especially if demand rises because of El Nino.
Annamayya Collector Nishanth Kumar reviewed preparations for receiving Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi water in the Madanapalle region.
HNSS water is expected to reach the region between September 12 and 15.
Officials were ordered to monitor water releases, canal supplies and tank filling around the clock.
The Collector directed officials to fill at least 50 percent of Velugallu reservoir immediately through the HNSS main canal.
Madanapalle Municipality was asked to lift HNSS canal water into Amma Cheruvu amid expected higher drinking-water demand.
