Karnataka High Court grants mother custody of special-needs girl
Once there was a seven-year-old girl who needed extra care and treatment because she has special needs.
Her mother and father were not getting along, and a court had to decide who she would live with.
A family court first said she should live with her father.
But the Karnataka High Court, which is a bigger court, changed that decision.
The judges said the girl should live with her mother, because her mother can give her the constant care she needs.
They also noticed that her father lives alone.
The father now has to pay 25,000 rupees every month to help take care of his daughter.
The judges hope that the parents' love for their daughter will help them make peace and come back together as a family.
Above all, the court wanted to make sure the little girl is safe and well cared for.
