Mohanlal's Athimanoharam Gets Sabarimala Shoot Permission With Conditions
A movie starring a very famous Indian actor named Mohanlal has been given special permission to be filmed at a very holy place called Sabarimala temple.
This temple sits on a hill and many pilgrims travel there to pray.
The people who take care of the temple are called the Travancore Devaswom Board.
They said the movie crew can shoot there, but only if they follow some important rules.
The filmmakers must show the complete script to the Board before filming.
The movie is not allowed to show the temple, its traditions, or the faith in a bad or disrespectful way.
The crew also has to pay 50,000 rupees as a deposit and get separate permission from the Forest Department.
Earlier, there was a problem because a film was reportedly shot at the temple without permission during a festival season.
This time, the director asked for official permission and met with the Board's president.
The movie is called Athimanoharam and is expected to be released on December 24.
The Travancore Devaswom Board granted permission for Mohanlal-starrer Athimanoharam to shoot at Sabarimala's Sannidhanam and surrounding areas.
The Board set conditions including submitting the complete script and avoiding any content that portrays Sabarimala, its traditions, or faith in a poor light.
The production team must deposit Rs 50,000 with the Board and obtain separate permission from the Forest Department before shooting.
The decision follows an earlier controversy over a film shoot allegedly conducted at Sabarimala without permission during the Makaravilakku season.
Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film is about 80 per cent complete and is scheduled for a worldwide release on December 24.
