Modi remembers Partition victims on eve of Independence Day

Every year on August 14, the government holds a special day called Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

This year, Modi wrote on a social media app called X about the day.

He said the people who lived through it were very brave.

He said they started over with almost nothing and built new lives through hard work.

Modi asked everyone to remember them and to stay kind and united.
