Isar Aerospace Rocket Reaches Orbit, Boosting Europe’s Space Ambitions
German startup Isar Aerospace rocket reaches orbit in boost for Europe’s space ambitions · firstpost.com

Isar Aerospace is a German company that builds rockets.

It successfully sent its uncrewed Spectrum rocket into orbit from Norway.

This was the first commercial launch to reach orbit from continental Europe.

The rocket carried five small satellites and a technology experiment.

Isar’s earlier rocket launch in March 2025 ended in an explosion shortly after takeoff.

That earlier flight still gave the company useful information for improving its rockets.

European officials said the new launch could help Europe launch satellites more independently.

Other European countries are also developing launch sites.

Isar plans to build more rockets and another launch site in Canada.
